If you haven’t experienced Dermaplane yet, then you are missing out. Dermaplane is a fast but very effective non-invasive treatment that leaves your skin so smooth!
Dermaplaning is a gentle skin treatment that is performed by using a surgical blade that gently scrapes the outermost layers of the epidermis, therefore, ridding it of dead skin cells, impurities and debris. This treatment is an excellent way to exfoliate the skin and to regenerate new skin cells thus leaving the complexion smooth, soft and vibrant.
What are the Benefits?
Remove light surface wrinkling
Smooth acne scarring
Improve skin texture
Even out skin tone
Help to unblock blackheads,
Reduce the pores size
Remove facial hair (hair does not grow back thicker)
Generate new healthy cells
What sanitation and safety measures are taken?
Your health and safety are of the utmost importance to me, and I do take appropriate measures to ensure sanitation and safety.
A new, sterilized surgical blade is used for each client and properly disposed of after each use.
I wear non-latex gloves during the Dermaplaning process.
All instruments (as with all of my treatments) are cleaned and sanitized according to regulations. During the Dermaplaning process, it is imperative that the client be still and not talk.
No sudden movements please.
No moles, skin tags, or other skin growths will be removed during the process – those areas (if they exist) will be avoided and worked around.
It is recommended that you take the following into consideration:
DON’T go to a tanning bed two weeks prior to treatment. This practice should be discontinued due to the increased risk of skin cancer and signs of aging.
DON’T have another exfoliating treatment unless recommended
DON’T wax, tweeze or use depilatory creams for 7 days prior
AVOID extended sun exposure especially in the 10 days prior to treatment.
AVOID getting Botox, collagen or other chemical filler injections for two weeks before
DELAY use of Tretinoin, Retin-A, Renova, Differin, Tazorac, Avage, EpiDuo, Ziana and high-percentage AHA and BHA products for approximately seven days prior to treatment. Consult your Physician before temporarily discontinuing use of any prescription medications.
IF you are lactating, pregnant, or may become pregnant, consult your physician before receiving any treatments.
Treatments may cause slight redness, tightness, peeling, flaking or temporary dryness. Most patients find it unncessary to apply makeup, as the skin will be smooth, dewy and radiant following treatment. If you would like to apply makeup, allow approximately 15 minutes for the pH of the skin to stabilize before applying foundation.
Contraindications for Dermaplaning include:
Current or recent use of accutane, eczema, dermatitis, malignant skin tumors, open lesions, lupus, active herpes infection, sunburn and keratoses.
Allergy to nickel
Cancer therapy (chemotherapy, radiation)
